A Thermometer for Many Purposes
ALL our thermometers measure from -55ºC to +125ºC, and our Ethernet Thermometers are packed with uses.
While many IT Pros use the Ethernet Thermometer for monitoring their server rack or server room temperature, there are many more applicable uses than this.
Perhaps you have a remote office that you need to know about, or an office with sensitive materials in it? Maybe the temperature of your goods in the warehouse need to be monitored? Or perhaps you need to be alerted if an air-conditioner or refrigerator fails? These are ALL scenarios that our Ethernet Thermometers will look after and alert you about.
By default, we ship all of our Ethernet Thermometers, with METAL probes, on a 3 meter lead. If you would prefer a non-metal probe, we can ship this as an alternative, at no extra charge. (Please let us know this information, when you place your order).

The Ethernet Thermometer revolution!
A thermometer with Ethernet data transmission + monitoring. Simply plug in the device, perform a once-off configuration, and you’re ready to use the device.
Supplied complete (ready to use) with regulated power supply, ethernet cable, software CD, and detailed instructions.

Now also available in a POWER OVER ETHERNET (PoE) model.
Send temperature data over TCP/IP networks using these protocols:

Easy Configuration
Easy configuration via the supplied Windows application, or via a Telnet connection. You can also configure the device using Terminal on an Apple Macintosh or Linux computer.

Easy Viewing
If you want to check your thermometer, you simply call up a web browser window, and enter the IP address of your thermometer. Or, have it’s address stored as a handy bookmark in your web browser.
See our Screen-shots gallery for examples:

Advanced options
For those who like to “get their hands dirty”, you can also incorporate the Ethernet Thermometer’s temperature information into your existing monitoring web page, using the HTTP Get protocol. Or you can use SNMP traps...

Get Alerted
Our Ethernet Thermometers are packed with uses. While you may like to just “monitor” the temperature via the built-in web-server, what if you want to get an alert?
You can get alerts via email. Alternately, configure the device to send you an SMS... Read more...

USB and RS232 models also available
Our Ethernet Thermometer is our most comprehensive thermometer, complete with a full host of alerting options (see side-panel diagram on the left of this page).
For Mission Critical uses (e.g. Server room temperature monitoring), the BEST solution is the Ethernet Temperature model. They come complete with Email alerts, XML access (great for scripting), HTTP, HTTP Get, and much much more.
But if you don’t need the alerting mechanisms, and you just want a thermometer to hook up to your USB port, or to your PC’s RS232 port, perhaps our USB or RS232 models are for you.
The USB and RS232 models deliver an ASCII output (directly as text, as a temperature value in degrees ºC) to a host PC.
They come complete with the supplied software to check the current temperature of your probe. Or you can even write your own code, using the supplied DLL library.

Our products and pricing are now available through our NEW online store. Australian’s no longer have to wait around for overseas deliveries; your order comes direct from our Australian office. We accept online orders, Purchase Orders (via fax or email) etc. And what’s more, Government and Large-corporation discounts are available. More info...

Our USB thermometer has a direct output to USB. Both the RS232 and USB temperature probes run without the need for a power supply unit.
The USB and RS232 probes provide the current temperature directly as text, as a temperature value in degrees ºC, in ASCII, so no conversion is necessary.

Ethernet Thermometer vs RS232 or USB thermometers?
  1. 1. If you want to receive alerts from your Thermometer, we recommend our STAND-ALONE Ethernet Thermometer, that DOES NOT depend on any other host computer to be running. It’s ready-to-use, straight out of the box, and is self-contained.
  2. 2. If you want to develop your own application (DIY programming), we recommend the RS232 or USB thermometers. See our Support page for all of our instruction manuals and downloadable files.

International Power Supply Units Available!
Not in Australia? That’s OK. As of June 2007, we now stock overseas power supply units for our Ethernet Thermometers, for countries including UK, Europe, USA, Japan, New Zealand (and of course, Australian power supplies too.)

Set and Forget
Our Ethernet Thermometers for server (and other room) monitoring really are that simple to use. Just configure the basic settings (low / high temperature, alert settings), save the settings. And you’re done! Sit back, and let the Ethernet Temperature Thermometer do the rest!
