Ethernet Thermometer vs RS232 or USB thermometers?
  1. 1. If you want to receive ALERTS from your Thermometer, we recommend our STAND-ALONE Ethernet Thermometer, that DOES NOT depend on any other host computer to be running. It’s ready-to-use, straight out of the box, and is self-contained. That way, if a host computer fails, your Ethernet Thermometer will keep monitoring your room temperature regardless.
  2. 2. If you want to develop your own application (DIY programming), or use our simple temperature monitoring software, we recommend the RS232 or USB thermometers. See our Support page for all of our instruction manuals and downloadable files.
